What Our Clients Say:
My daughter has always been a highly motivated student and as such, I wasn’t too worried about the college application process. However, once she decided to apply to schools for fine arts programs in musical theater and design, I felt lost. Selecting schools with these programs required a completely different lens than I was expecting. Luckily, we found Lori!
Lori was incredibly warm, knowledgeable and super organized right from the start and supported my daughter just enough (and not too much!) to map out what was required for each school by when, she checked in regularly to make sure my daughter was on track all along the way, and she read and gave feedback on every essay.
Because of this amazing support, my daughter was well prepared, and invited for an in-person audition at every school that required one. But, even more amazing than that, Lori had pointed us in the direction of schools that we would never had considered in the first place, like Princeton. We were not considering Ivy Leagues schools - yet Lori made us aware that Princeton has an amazing performing arts program and unparalleled student-led theater (not to mention generous financial aid!)
Incredibly, my daughter was admitted! And while she considered going into one of the other BFA programs she got into, my daughter ultimately decided that Princeton was the best all-around fit for her. She couldn’t be more excited, and I couldn’t be more proud. I can honestly say that my daughter would not have ended up at Princeton if it wasn’t for Lori - and for that we will always be grateful.

Lori’s dedication and commitment to making her students feel valued, organized, and confident made my entire college process run amazingly well! From the beginning stages of developing my college lists and completing the applications, all the way to the last meeting with my final decision, Lori was there with her constructive feedback and positive spirit. During the application season I was able to stay on top of my important deadlines and be ahead of the game with Lori’s beneficial checklists and organizational spreadsheets. Most importantly, Lori encouraged me to challenge myself with my writing and in my overall applications, helping me develop my character and personality onto paper. Lori was not only such an amazing help with the logistics of the college process, but she motivated me to work hard and ultimately made me feel extremely proud of what I had accomplished.

I can honestly say that I would not be going to the school I am without Lori’s help. Her most helpful qualities are her honesty and openness. I don’t think my college application process would have been successful if I had a counselor giving me unrealistic expectations. However, I was never discouraged from pursuing my high goals, and Lori ultimately helped me to achieve my goals and get accepted to a college that I am ecstatic about attending. She made the entire process far less stressful. The amount of organization required in this process is surprising, and working with Lori made it so much easier. Additionally, I can promise you that there is not a better essay coach anywhere. I would highly recommend Lori to any student, no matter how high he or she is shooting in the college application process.

As a high school junior, my daughter was reluctant to put much thought or energy into the college application process -- because of her grades, she didn’t feel she had many options. I was thrilled, then, when after her first meeting with Lori my daughter bubbled over with, “Wow, Mom, for the first time I'm feeling optimistic about college. I'm so relieved!” Navigating the challenging process of researching and applying to colleges was daunting, but Lori threw us a life preserver. In a few months my daughter will head off to a Division I school well suited to her personality and desired area of study. We are extremely grateful for Lori's insight, knowledge and guidance.

Lori was extremely helpful in organizing all of the audition materials required at the colleges for admittance into music programs. My daughter needed to apply to both the university and to the music school, so we were lost in a mire of application deadlines, supplements, and audition materials. Of course each school had completely different requirements. Lori organized a customized system where all of the information was arranged in prioritized lists that could be easily managed and completed. We would have been completely lost without this help!

I just wanted to thank you for all the guidance and support you gave Aidan and Danielle during the long college application process right down to the decision as to the best fit for each of them. Your insights were greatly appreciated by ALL. You totally shielded us (the parents ) from the stress of the deadlines and I always felt both Aidan and Danielle were on track thanks to your guidance. I would highly recommend parents take advantage of your knowledge, it was worth it!

From our first meeting with Lori, I felt we had found a captain to help us navigate the overwhelming college decision-making process. Our daughter, Devon, appreciated Lori’s patience, objectivity and assistance with helping her make her own choices and decisions. As parents, we found Lori to be extremely knowledgeable, helpful and accessible. Lori demystified the whole college search and made it much less stressful for all of us. We are extremely grateful for Lori’s guidance and can not recommend her highly enough.

Thank you for the college coaching you gave to Paige. She just finished her first quarter at UCSB and earned all A's! We were so worried about the transition to the UC quarter system from community college but our fears were unfounded. She is thriving and loves UCSB. Your solid advice and guidance led her on a path to success using the community college system. She is a proud Gaucho -- immersed in everything the school has to offer. We are truly indebted to you.
